Castle Rock is home to a historic downtown, 6000 acres of open space, 50 parks and 87 miles of trails. Castle Rock is easily accessible via Interstate 25 and has the outlets at Castle Rock, the largest open-air outlet center in the State. It is also the seat of Douglas County.

Rock Park

Rock Park is a historic landmark that can be climbed by visitors using a single-track looped trail system. Hikers can access the Rock’s base from these trails and enjoy panoramic views of Downtown Castle Rock as well as the I-25 corridor and Pikes Peak. This hike has rocky terrain.

Zip Line

Castle Rock Zipline Tours

Castle Rock Zip Lines & Aerial Trekking will be available to residents in the Fall of 2014. Zip line tours will include nine zip lines that are up to 1,000 feet long. Daredevils can reach speeds up to 50 miles per hour while enjoying the local scenery.

Castle Rock Skatepark

Castle Rock Skatepark has three distinct skateable areas: a street, a variable depth bowl, and a beginner’s area. The skatepark features ramps, rails, steps and other popular obstacles. Concrete is colored to make it more visible and reduce glare.

Rink at the Rock

The Rink at Rock is a recreational skating rink for the local community. It’s a place where people can come together, have fun, and create lifelong memories. During the remainder of the year the White Pavilion will host additional events.

The Douglas County Fair and Rodeo is a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation in Douglas County. Highlights include two entertainment stages, three Professional Rodeos (including Extreme Bulls), Carnival, Antique Tractor Pull, 4-H and FFA Exhibits and much more! Theatre of Dreams

Since 2003, Joe Givan and Carol Massie have entertained audiences and confused minds with their Theatre of Dreams. The theater was created to show off their talents and those of friends who are world-class. The performances include jugglers and ventriloquists as well as circus acts, mind-readers, escape artists, and ventriloquists.

Cherokee Ranch & Castle

The unique architecture of Cherokee Ranch & Castle combines elements of Western United States with a Scottish castle dating back to the 1450s, built in the 1920s. It is filled with historic collections of art, furniture and memorabilia. The breathtaking views make this a destination that is perfect for cultural and educational exploration.

Epic Escape Game Castle Rock

Epic Escape Game is an interactive adventure game that’s fun for all ages. The concept is very simple: you and your team are locked in a small room for 60 minutes to solve puzzles, find clues and escape before the time runs out.
